Close to City Hospital and part of a multi-occupancy development including a supermarket and social housing, the centre offers GP services, Community Nursing, Health Visiting, Podiatry, Phlebotomy and Physiotherapy. Facilities include a Pharmacy and a Minor Surgical suite.The new Summerfield Health Centre, which will accommodate up to 15,000 patients, on the corner of Heath Street and Winson Green Road, Winson Green. The centre is due for completion in early 2008.

The centre has been designed to improve access to health services for thousands of patients in one of the city�s key areas. The development will see the merger of a number of existing local GP practices plus a range of other health services tailored to the needs of the community. Having won the contract to design, supply, install and commission a multi zone public address system plus two infra red speech transmissions systems we worked closely with AVUS Consulting to achieve the most appropriate system design and functionality for the client. Our design utilized the Cloud Z4 and CDPM microphones to provide a multi zone speech and background music system to the centre. The PA system provides live speech broadcasts and BGM to Corridors, Waiting and sub-waiting areas and play area. The flush mounted ceiling loudspeakers where provided to meet the specific requirements of this particular project.

The meeting and seminar rooms required systems for the hard of hearing. After discussions with the consultant it was agreed our proposal for Infra Red Systems would be the best option, we opted for the Sennheiser SI30 radiator/modulator together with Stethoset receivers was the best option.

The end product was a user friendly PA and Background music system which met the client expectations and requirements.
