The scheme consists of cutting edge design solutions for the reprovision of South Bromsgrove High School (1,290 pupils), North Bromsgrove High School (1,150 pupils), Alvechurch Middle School and Crown Meadow First School rebuilt as a “Through School” (660 pupils), Parkside Middle School and Meadows First School rebuilt together as a “Through School” (780 pupils) and Sidemoor First School (300 pupils). The phased building programme commences in December 2005 with the Sidemoor First School operational in March 2007 and overall completion due in August 2008 including all demolition works to the existing High Schools and parts of Meadows School.

We were awarded the contract for three schools South, North Bromsgrove and Parkside. The contract was for the design, supply and commission of the systems.

The brief was to provide Public Address and Class Change systems throughout the entire school and AFILS in the Main Assemble Halls and Sports Halls. It was also as requirement that our system needed to interface with stage systems so that messages and class change tones could be heard. The design utilised standard Amplification and zoning matrixes so as to offer easy of maintenance/replacement of the equipment. The class change utilised a tone generator to broadcast the tones.
