Outlet shopping is the retail phenomenon of the new Millennium. An idea originally imported from the United States where there are currently more than 250 such centres. It burgeoned in the UK with Clarks Village in Somerset and has now spread all over the country and into Europe.

REALM Ltd, the management company behind this centre awarded Aqord Limited the contract for maintaining three of their sites, Braintree, Talke and J32 (Glasshoughton). All three sites utilise Public Address/Voice Alarm Systems.

We have maintained the three sites for 5 years and in 2008 Aqord Limited was awarded the contract for the upgrade of the Public Address/Voice Alarm System at Freeport Braintree.

The client required a more flexibility and user friendly system than the previous installed system and in order to achieve this we approached Baldwin Boxall to provide a system to our highly complex to our design. The multi zone system was to provide live and pre-recorded messages broadcasts to the whole site and of course alert customers of any emergency that may arise.
